I step from the library into unexpected sunshine, deep in my bag is Simon Barnes how to a bad bird watcher, lately of the treasure trolly, now mine forever at 50-pence.
Silver talons delicately hand me my change and receipt, red shop store shirt, red hair, 2 inches of black beads adorn left and right wrist. Older face bringing bling into her day and mine.
I take cherries to share at work, to remind us that "life is a bowl of cherries", and am rewarded with a brilliant smile and eyes that instantly light up.
Bit of that
On the keyboard of life, it pays to keep a finger on the Escape key.
(just be on lookout for a chink to drift though)
